Authentic Handloom · Banaras

Woven to
Your Stars.

Every saree in our house begins on a handloom in the narrow lanes of Banaras — and ends, we believe, in the wardrobe where it was always meant to be. We map each piece to a Nakshatra, a Muhurta, a deity, a moment. So the saree does not choose you by accident.

The House

A silk with a reason.

For centuries, a Banarasi was never chosen only for its weave — it was chosen for its occasion, its deity, the hour when it would be worn. Somewhere in the modern rush, the instrument was kept and the music forgotten.

House of Banarasi brings the music back. Every piece we release is anchored to a Nakshatra, a planetary hour, a mood encoded in its motifs. You do not wear it; you arrive in it.

The Nakshatra Reading

Which saree is meant for you?

Share your birth moment and receive a private reading by email within minutes — your ruling Nakshatra, its symbolism, its colours, and the three pieces from our collection that were, quite literally, woven with you in mind.

We use Lahiri ayanāṃśa and a sidereal Jyotish framework. Your details are kept private and are never shared.

The Collections

Three houses, one provenance.

Each line is woven in Banaras on pit looms, with pure mulberry silk and tested real zari. No power-looms. No shortcuts. No substitutions.

The Weavers

We do not work with factories. We work with Shyamji, Aslam bhai, Ramu — and five others.

Every saree you receive carries a named weaver card. You will know whose loom it came from, how many months it took, and which motif was his favourite on the piece.

This is not a feature. It is the price of honesty. A hand-woven Banarasi cannot come from nowhere. It comes from a person, in a narrow street in Madanpura or Alaipur, who has been doing this since he was ten.

"When a woman asks me which saree is hers, I tell her — wait, first tell me when you were born."
— Shyamji, Master Weaver, Madanpura
